Open Air

About the project

For my first personal CG project, I drew inspiration from Calvert Studio and Nick Meek's work. My goal was to explore the dynamic potential of the open-air studio and create a dynamic, high-contrast look throughout the entire shoot using strong lighting and by playing around with the dimensions and angles of the studio walls all while keeping the car's perceived proportions intact.
Working with 3D software for the first time, one of my biggest challenges was replicating the studio's reflective floor, which I knew would impact the overall look. Despite some anisotropic issues though, I was satisfied with the results and moved on to post-production, where the images truly came to life.
